Socioeconomic determinants of the individual micro-entrepreneur (IME)

Objective: identifying the possible relationships between socioeconomic variables and manifestation of Individual Micro-Entrepreneur (IME). Methodology/approach: from survey characteristics IME, in databases Brazilian scope, under a quantitative approach, multiple regression analysis was applied, including social economic municipalities Minas Gerais. Main results: there are significant effects education, income, basic sanitation on proportion IME at municipal level. Their values show that better conditions inversely related to IME. Theoretical/methodological contributions: this study contributes discussion entrepreneurship policies types businesses be promoted by governments. It identifies its explanatory developing countries.
